FIRST BATCH OF NIGERIANS ARRIVE HOME FROM RUSSIA -UKRAINE WAR

The first batch of Nigerian Nationals who were moved out from the Russia-Ukraine war have arrived home on Friday, March 4, 2022in the capital, Abuja. Chairman of Nigeria’s Parliamentary committee on foreign affairs, Yusuf Buba, who accompanied the group from Romania’s Capital, Bucharest says the arriving group consists of 451 students

However, Nigeria is expected to evacuate 5,000 citizens who are fleeing the conflict in Ukraine. The bringing home exercise was intended to begin on Wednesday however was postponed due to operations challenges. Many have moved over to the adjoining nations of Romania, Poland and Hungary.
